REDEEM

In listening to this song, I heard the word redeemed and had to look it up. Chew on what it means to you- if you are a believer of Jesus Christ, you are redeemed. If you have never thought of what it means, here is some fuel for the wonderful fire this is about to start in your mind ( :

2. gain or regain possession of (something) in exchange for payment : his best suit had been redeemed from the pawnbrokers.

• exchange (a coupon, voucher, or trading stamp) for merchandise, a discount, or money.

Today and everyday we are redeemed. That literally is something I grapple with daily but more and more God is working on cementing the truth of that in my heart.
